Munich Airport is c190km from Mayrhofen and has a train station at the airport. The ticket price is similar to a shared transfer, unless you book in advance where you can often get a special offer at around half of the walk up price.

All of the machines have an English language option and are very easy to use. The route from the airport takes you to Munich Ost station using the S8 train, where you can then pick up an EC train to the station of Jenbach which sits at the end of the Zillertal valley. On arriving at Jenbach, you need to walk across to Zillertalbahn, which is located the opposite end from the station building. The Zillertalbahn will take you all the way to Mayrhofen, which is the last stop.

From Munich main station (Hbf) the journey is the same however you can pick up the EC train directly at Munich Hbf
